We are a non-profit student-run organization serving for the best interests of our students in the Department of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (BISB) and the Division of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at UC San Diego. Our goals are to facilitate communication between students, administration, and faculty, to provide social and networking opportunities for graduate students, and to promote a sense of community within the department.
This full day symposium brings together program faculty and BISB/BMI students, to discuss and present their work to the UCSD bioinformatics research community. BEx highlights include a keynote address, flash talks, a poster session, lunch, and happy hour. BEx offers a unique opportunity for students to get acquainted with the wide spectrum of research topics in the field, engage with leaders from both academia and industry, and facilitate collaborations with other researchers.
All Bioinformatics & Biomedical Informatics Students and Faculty are invited.
RSVP Required: Contact Yi Fu for information.
By sponsoring, you will support a community of bioinformatics PhD students and directly contribute to promoting leadership skills in the next generation of bioinformatic researchers. In return, GBIC will recognize your company at our events that are attended by both students and faculty across the program.
